Questions and Answers:

What nugget of wisdom would you offer to aspiring accountants?
Run!! Just kidding. This is a great profession for people who can embrace change, want a constant challenge, are willing to learn new things and have excellent time management skills.

What accounting law or regulation would you like to see changed?
The AMT tax is definitely one I would like to see changed. It was not intended to affect as many people as it actually did.

What is it like working for a company that has been around for so long?
It is so great to be part of something that has proven its ability to withstand many economic and social changes and that has always been ahead of the competition in technology and so many other areas!

What is the toughest business decision you have ever made?
Making a decision to terminate an employee is the toughest thing to do.

What is your most memorable moment at Garritano?
I will never forget the April Fools joke that Greg played on the staff many years ago. Two police officers came into the building and “arrested” him for fraud. The entire rest of the day the staff and I were panicking waiting to hear from him. The next morning we showed up to work with him sitting at his desk with a giant grin as he says “April Fools!”
